Happy Anniversary, UC San Diego! Founders’ Day commemorates the date on which the University of California, San Diego was established officially in 1960. Festivities will honor the history and traditions of the university, celebrate how far we’ve come and look forward to the future.

2:30 p.m. Seating

The party starts with snacks, entertainment, and hospitality lounges for the six colleges, the graduate and professional schools, and the academic divisions. Arrive early to get a seat.

3:00 p.m. Gathering/Opening Ceremony

See a processional of the university’s history, founding faculty and alumni. It will be a grand spectacle of the evolution of the university.

3:30 p.m. Program

Learn about UC San Diego’s past, present and future.
